Hardware and Software Requirements To Install Oracle 12c RAC

Note: The requirement in this post is, to install oracle RAC on your Laptop and therefore the requirement in your actual environment could be lightly different and will also depend the business requirement.
In this post I will explain you about minimum hardware as well as software requirements to successfully install and configure oracle RAC using virtual machine on your laptop.
In real environment you need few less things as well there are most OS, Network and storage preparation task is performed by specialists you just need to specify the requirements to them.
Hardware Requirements
In real environment you need exactly the amount of servers you need to configure in RAC cluster. eg. you need 2 servers for 2 Node RAC cluster however here we will need 4 Servers as mentioned below
Minimum 2 Servers each with following Configurations <= used for Oracle RAC cluster installation
                              1 CPU (i5 or i7)
                              4 GB RAM (more RAM is better)
                              2 NIC
                              50 GB HDD minimum per node                       
1 Server for Storage with following configuration <= In real Environment you don't need it
                              1 CPU (i5 or i7)
                              2 GB RAM (more RAM is better)
                              1 NIC
1 Server for DNS/NTP etc <= In real environment there is already corporate DNS and NTP server configured and you can utilize them 
                              1 CPU (i5 or i7)
                              2 GB RAM (more RAM is better)
                              1 NIC
Note:- If you want you can bypass using DNS/NTP and in that case you dont Need 4th Server.

Software Requirements for Oracle RAC Installation

Oracle Linux 7 (Use the latest spin eg. 7.3)
Virtual Box (5.1.14)
Oracle 12c Release 2 (12.2.0.1) Software (64 bit)

IP Requirements for Oracle RAC Installation

7 set of  IP addresses (in public IP range) for the purpose as described below
               1 Public IP for each node (2 node x 1= 2 IPs)
               1 Public IP for each node for VIP  (2 node x 1= 2 IPs)
               3 IPs for SCAN
               2 IPs  for Private Interconnect, 1 IP per node 

Additionally you need 2 more public IPs to complete the workshop of oracle RAC installation on your Laptop using openfiler as shared storage (1 for storage machine and 1 for DNS machine)

Untuk menyusun checklist spesifikasi hardware tersebut agar rapi dan mudah dievaluasi oleh tim IT, agan bisa cari download word yasir 252. Selain itu, karena panduan instalasi resmi Oracle biasanya berupa dokumen PDF yang sangat panjang, membaca referensinya akan jauh lebih ringan dan nyaman menggunakan adobe acrobat yasir 252. Bagi agan yang butuh mengunduh file instalasi raksasa dengan stabil tanpa putus, pastikan selalu pakai download idm yasir 252 hanya di situs andalan kita, yasir 252!

    Membahas ulang tentang Hardware and Software Requirements To Install Oracle 12c RAC ini selalu relevan buat para administrator database! Untuk merancang topologi jaringan dan arsitektur klaster server yang rumit secara visual sebelum instalasi, agan bisa membuat skema presisinya menggunakan autocad yasir 252. Selain itu, untuk mendokumentasikan daftar spesifikasi komponen yang dibutuhkan agar mudah dikoordinasikan dengan tim infrastruktur, pastikan agan menyusunnya dengan yasir 252 office. Bagi agan yang butuh mengunduh file installer database berukuran besar tanpa takut corrupt, jangan lupa selalu gunakan yasir 252 idm hanya di situs kebanggaan kita, yasir 252!

Note: Oracle does not recommend deleting keystore file (ewallet.p12) that belongs to a database. If you have multiple keystores, you can choose to merge them rather than deleting either of them.
